Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Techurch Technologies ("Techurch", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. It covers this website, techurch.com, and our products, including the myChurch app and its web console.
We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the rules made under it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number, date of birth and profile photo, if you add one.
- Church membership: the church you join, your groups and your role there.
- What you share: posts, comments, prayer requests and messages you send in the app.
- Giving records: the amount, date and church for each gift. Card and bank details are entered with our payment providers, such as Paystack. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical data: device type, app version and server logs, which we use to keep the service secure and working.
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To create your account and run the service you asked for.
- To show your church the information it needs to serve its members.
- To process gifts and keep accurate records of them.
- To send account emails, such as sign-in codes and receipts.
- To keep the service safe, fix problems and improve it.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Your church: church staff can see member details and activity inside their own church.
- Service providers: companies that host our servers, send our emails and process payments for us. They may only use your data to provide that service. Some of them store data outside Nigeria, and when they do we make sure it stays protected.
- The law: when we must share it to follow the law or protect people from harm.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. Giving records are kept for as long as financial and tax rules require. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to stop using it. Email us at privacy@techurch.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
We encrypt data in transit, limit who on our team can access it, and keep a record of sensitive actions. No system is perfect, but we work hard to protect your data.
Children
Our products are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email.
